A Purdue University student is suing the school over her injuries suffered when thousands of students stampeded trying to get student section basketball tickets.
Alanna Nash says she suffered several broken bones in her left foot when she was pushed to the ground outside Mackey Arena on February 5, 2023.
The students were waiting to enter a raffle for the basketball tickets and Nash’s lawsuit says the university was negligent by not providing “reasonable and adequate security” or crowd control. She wants a jury trial.
