The Salvation Army of Goshen prepares for large turnout at 61st Annual Pancake Day

openverse.com

The Salvation Army of Goshen is getting ready to welcome hundreds of people on April 26.

It’s the 61st Annual Pancake Day, which aims to raise funds to support the 2024 Salvation Army services.

From 6 a.m. until 7 p.m., pancakes will be served for just $8 at the door or $7 in advance. It’s expected to be a busy day, as over 6,500 pancakes were served during the event in 2023.

Proceeds from last year were able to help provide over 27,000 meals to fight food insecurity in central and southern Elkhart County.

And, around 7,500 individuals benefitted from basic social services programs including emergency financial assistance to pay utility bills and rent.

Remember to apologize for your whiteness like the Salvation Army asked you to in their 2021 brochure (just in case anyone forgot).
