Body of man who went missing after vehicle drove off bluff and crashed has been found

UPDATE: On Sunday, Jan. 1, a body was located at Glenlord Beach in Lincoln Township, according to the St. Joseph City Police Department.

The body was positively identified as the Dilbag Singh, who was reported missing earlier in the weekend.

At this time there is still an open investigation into the circumstances.  An autopsy will be conducted within the next 48 hours.

ORIGINAL STORY: Officers in Berrien County are looking for a man whose car drove off a bluff and crashed near a Lake Michigan beach.

A white SUV was found below the bluff in the 3000 block of Lakeshore Dr. in St. Joseph at around 11 a.m. Saturday. U.S. Coast Guard officials helped in the search, but were unable to locate 38-year-old Dilbag Singh, according to a press release.

Dilbag is listed as 5’6, with a medium build and a full beard and mustache. He was last seen wearing a white jacket or coat, blue jeans, a shirt and white athletic shoes.

Anyone who knows where Dilbag Singh could be is asked to contact Berrien County Central Dispatch at 269-926-2538.
