A man and woman were found dead in an apparent murder-suicide in South Bend.

St. Joseph County Metro Homicide investigators were called to a home on the 500 block of S. 25th St. late Tuesday afternoon on a welfare check.

Police arrived and found the couple’s bodies. So far, investigators haven’t identified the victims or released information about how they died.

A 5-year-old child was in the home at the time of the deaths and is now staying with relatives.
