Notre Dame fans have been understandably despondent over the performance of their Fighting Irish this year. Now, they’re showing it with their wallets.

Hotel occupancy in St. Joseph County is usually about 90-percent during home football games. This weekend, hotels are only expected to be about 70 to 80-percent occupied, according to the South Bend Tribune.

However, if you’ve been waiting for a cheap ticket to get into Notre Dame Stadium, you’re in luck. The cheapest ticket on StubHub.com as of 10:30 a.m. Thursday is $30. The cheapest seats if there’s more than one of you? $56. The average face value for the Stanford game is $125.

In fact, it’s not just this weekend that has South Bend hoteliers and restaurant owners worried. If the Irish lose this weekend, the ripple effect might be worse for the remaining home games against Miami and Virginia Tech.
