Suspects charged in connection with death of Alandus Taylor

The St. Joseph County Prosecutor’s Office has charged two people in connection with the homicide of Alandus Taylor, 26, in South Bend.

Taylor died on Wednesday morning, July 20, after South Bend Police officers were called to a stabbing in the 1200 block of E. Dayton. Upon arrival, officers found Taylor suffering from at least one stab wound.

Taylor was taken to Memorial Hospital where he subsequently died.

Rickey Lee Jones, 27, and Allison Wyatt, 23, were both charged with aggravated Battery, Involuntary Manslaughter and Battery with a Deadly Weapon.

Bond was set at $20,000 cash for both Jones and Wyatt.

They are both scheduled to be arraigned at 1 p.m. on Monday.
