ON THE TOLL ROAD
(NEW) Repaving is starting on the toll road throughout South Bend and Mishawaka, from mile markers 73 to 83. Expect lane restrictions and delays in the metro area of up to 30 minutes during the rush hours… Repaving is also underway in LaPorte County between miles markers 55 to 62. (ends TFN)
IN ST. JOSEPH COUNTY
(NEW FOR MON 7/18) State Road 331 is closing between the U.S. 20 Bypass and U.S. 6, beginning Monday and lasting through Thursday, September 1st. Crews are working to resurface an 11 mile stretch or road between Mishawaka and Bremen. Drivers traveling south on State Road 331 will be detoured west on U.S. 20. Drivers traveling north on State Road 331 will be detoured west on U.S. 6. (ends 9/1)
(NEW FOR MON 7/18) Ash Road is closed just south of McKinley Highway, and From McKinley north for a short distance. Northbound traffic on Ash Rd. should using Jefferson Road. Southbound traffic on Ash Rd. should detour on to Edison Road. (ends late on 7/20)
(NEW FOR MON 7/18) Work is underway this week, between 7am and 4pm, on the following roads, causing restrictions and possible delays:
- Beech Road from Cleveland Road to Anderson Road
- Douglas Road from Fir Road to Capital Avenue
- Douglas Road from Beech Road to Ash Road
- Ash Road from Douglas Road to Cleveland Road
- Bittersweet Road from Anderson Road to Adams Road
- Day Road from Capital Avenue to Bittersweet Road
- Jefferson Highway from Bittersweet Road to Ash Road
(NEW FOR MON 7/18) Work is underway this week, between 7 and 4, on the following roads, causing on-and-off closures for two hours at a time between 6am and 4pm:
- Ironwood Road from New Road to Madison Road
- Roosevelt Road from Old US 31 to Miami Highway
- Miami Highway from Marshall County Line to City of South Bend
- New Road from Miami Highway to Bremen Highway
Watch for lane closures on State Road 23, between Fellows Street and Miner Street in South Bend through the middle of August. Traffic is restricted to one lane in both directions. Expect delays and allow extra time for through the area. (ends 8/15)
Lane closures are in place on the U.S. 20 Bridges that cross over Ardmore Trail and State Road 2, between Lincoln Way West and Mayflower Road in South Bend. Traffic will be down to one lane in each direction. (ends 7/31)
IN MISHAWAKA
Watch for continued lane restrictions on State Road 23 between Grape Road and Heritage Square Drive. During construction there will be only one lane in each direction at times with some turning movements restricted.
IN SOUTH BEND

Smart Streets construction continues with Michigan Street closed on the south side of town, between Barbie Street and Sherwood Street for construction of a roundabout at Michigan and Chippewa. Detour using Main Street. Also, Michigan Street closed from LaSalle to Riverside, downtown. The intersections of Michigan and Bartlett and Michigan and Marion are closed, too. Detour using Sample and Eddy, LaSalle to Niles, or Portage and Angela.(ends 9/2016)

The repaving project continues on State Road 23 between Edison Road in South Bend and Gumwood & Main in Mishawaka. (TFN)
The Olive-Sample bridge construction project continues. Sample Street has lane restrictions… Also Olive Street is closed at Ford Street on north… and south of Sample. (ends Sep/Oct 2016)
The City of South Bend’s sewer separation project is underway with road closures taking place along Northside Boulevard and Frances Street, south of Wayne Street. (ends in Nov. 2016)
IN ELKHART
(NEW) Sewer work is underway at the intersection of West Boulevard and Laurel Street. Car traffic will be detoured down Fulton to Nappanee Street to Beardsley Avenue. The work is expected to last 30 days. (ends 8/13)
IN MARSHALL COUNTY
(NEW) It’s down to one lane in each direction on State Road 17, between State Road 8 and Olive Trail, near Plymouth through the middle of August. Expect delays and allow extra time for trips through the area. (ends 8/15)
IN KOSCIUSKO COUNTY
Watch for lane restrictions on U.S. 30 between State Road 15 and State Road 19 in Kosciusko County. (ends in August)
IN STARKE COUNTY
Lane closures on U.S. 30, between County Road 300 East and U.S. 35, near Hamlet, through the middle of September. Crews will close one eastbound and one westbound lane at a time. (ends 9/2016)
IN BERRIEN COUNTY
Watch for construction on U.S. 12 at the 11th Street overpass. Also, restrictions are in place on 11th Street north and south of the overpass.
IN CASS COUNTY
Construction is now underway on a roundabout at Five Points Road and U.S. 12 in Cass County, between Edwardsburg and Union. Drivers who travel through the area should detour along Cassopolis Road, Mason Street and Calvin Center Road (ends 9/30)
