16-year-old boy dead after being struck by train in South Bend

SOUTH BEND — A 16-year-old boy has died after being struck by a train at about 4 p.m. Saturday, June 27, in the 1700 block of South Caroline Street, WNDU reports. Police said the teenager was walking home when he was hit by the train.

The South Bend Police Department is at the scene.
