Pennsylvania man hospitalized after crash on U.S. 30 near State Road 19

(95.3 MNC)

A crash on U.S. 30 left one man injured and requiring an airlift to a Fort Wayne hospital.

The collision happened around 2:40 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 17, and involved a semi and a cargo van in the eastbound lanes near State Road 19.

Authorities say Felix Farinola, 49, of Harrisburg, PA, was driving a 2014 Mercedes van that rear-ended a 2006 Peterbilt semi, which had stopped for a red light.

Farinola was flown from the scene due to injuries sustained in the crash, while the semi’s driver, Michael Worsham, 74, of Bourbon, was unharmed.

Preliminary investigations suggest Farinola may have been following too closely.
