Downtown South Bend may soon see a new activity for everyone to enjoy.

Duckpin bowling may soon be headed to the century-old warehouse on W. Wayne Street.

The common council approved the estimated $470,000 tax abatement over the span of 10 years.

The warehouse, formerly known as Spenners, has been vacant for many years.

Now, South Bend residents can expect a local startup called Ivy Alley Brewhouse, as well as duckpin bowling.

WNDU says the space will also be host to Indiana Landmarks and South Bend TradeWorks for offices and working spaces.

They say the investment is estimated to cost about $2.5 million.
