Indiana to see frost this week

Frost will be showing up in Indiana this week.
“On Tuesday night and into Wednesday night is when we will see temperatures in the middle 30s, which will give us chances for frost across central Indiana,” said Jason Puma, meteorologist with the National Weather Service in Indianapolis.
Puma says those temperatures for central Indiana are also going to be similar to the rest of the state as well.
“Naturally, we’ll trend a little bit warmer in the southern parts of the state and be cooler in the northern parts of the state,” said Puma.
There are no significant chances for rain in at least the next seven days. Puma believes the temperatures are regressing to a more natural state.
“Our normal high temperatures for this time of year (mid-October) is really only in the lower 60s. So, the temperatures we’ve had in the 70s and 80s have been well above normal. We’re really getting back to where we should be this time of year,” said Puma.
In the meantime, if you have plants outside, Puma recommends taking them inside and protecting them from the frost. If that isn’t an option, then he recommends covering them up.
