If you missed the northern lights earlier this week, you’ll get another shot Thursday night.
A fast coronal mass ejection, of CME erupted from the sun on Tuesday, and is expected to reach the Earth on Thursday. The NOAA Space Weather Prediction Center says there is the potential for a severe solar storm Thursday night, which includes a great view of the aurora.
The magnetic energy will peak during daylight hours but there is a great chance for plenty of color in the night sky Thursday.
