Baby items needed for South Bend Police/Fire hurricane donation drive

(Photo supplied/South Bend Police Department)

Thanks to the incredibly high volume of donations being dropped off at the South Bend Police Department, organizers have some important updates:

They have updated our supply list to emphasize the need for baby items: diapers, bottles, formula, etc. As we sort through donations, we are discovering the need for additional baby supplies.

3. To make it easier on you and the officers, they have opened a drive-thru donation option in our garage. Simply drive through garage door #6 on the west side of our building and leave your donations on the tables or pallets. A member of SBPD will be there to assist. When you’re finished unloading, simply drive through the garage and exit to the east. Or you can donate from the comfort of your own home by choosing an item off our Amazon wishlist: https://www.amazon.com/hz/wishlist/ls/3JBJ60CW7ZZMI.

All Amazon items will be delivered to SBPD under Det. Briar Johnston’s name.

Some officers plan to leave this weekend to deliver these items to the hardest-hit areas of the southeast.

If you plan to donate, we will accept donations through Friday at 11 p.m.

McKinnies Realty is also accepting donations at its office on Day Road in Mishawaka.
