More I&M Power crews headed to assist with Hurricane Helene relief

 

Another wave of I&M Power restoration crews are now in numerous states after Hurricane Helene left millions were left without power.

A total of 466 I&M employees and business partners are assisting Kentucky Power and Appalachian Power Company to restore service to their customers.

Line workers, damage assessors, tree trimming experts, meter technicians, fleet technicians, safety personnel and several others are working long days in hilly, heavy forested and flooded areas throughout Kentucky, Tennessee and Virginia, working to repair and replace broken power poles and fallen power lines.

There is currently no timetable for crews’ returns, but I&M remains ready to respond if outages occur here at home.
