Helene brought several inches of rain and strong winds to Indiana on Friday.

Helene has knocked out power for about two million customers across the Southeast, primarily in Florida, where it struck land Thursday night as a Category 4 storm with 140 mph winds, leaving approximately 1.5 million people affected.

Meanwhile, in Indiana, flooding was possible, but with the region’s dry conditions, wind damage posed the biggest concern throughout the day.

A High Wind Warning began at noon for central Indiana and lasted until 1 a.m. in some areas.

The Circle City Classic canceled its pep rally outside Lucas Oil Stadium, originally set for Friday from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m., due to weather. Indianapolis Public Schools postponed the 26th Annual Spirit of Freedom from Friday to October 4.

The rain will continue into the weekend.
