Motorcycle Chase in Goshen Ends in Arrest

A high-speed chase in Goshen early has led to the arrest of an Elkhart man after he failed to stop for police.

The incident began just before 12:30 a.m. on Thursday, Sep. 12, when Goshen Police attempted to pull over a motorcycle at the intersection of North 5th Street and East Clinton Street for running a stop sign. The driver, identified as Eric Roll, 31, of Elkhart, ignored the stop and sped away, leading officers on a pursuit through the area, according to a Goshen Police report.

The chase ended near the intersection of County Creek Road and County Creek Circle, where Roll was apprehended. After being medically cleared, he was taken into custody at the Elkhart County Jail.

Roll faces multiple charges, including Resisting Law Enforcement in a Vehicle and on Foot, Operating While Intoxicated with a Prior Offense, Driving While Suspended with a Prior Offense, False Informing, Refusal to Identify, and Possession of Paraphernalia.

I was going to say running a stop sign especially on a bike is stupid but after the last paragraph….never mind.
