Niles man sentenced for weapon possession

A Niles man has been sentenced to 14 months to 5 years in prison for possession of a weapon in Berrien County Trial Court.
Jeremy Michael Grierson, 38, also received a concurrent 90-day jail sentence for meth use.
The incident occurred in April in Niles Township.
Leader Publications reports Grierson, who has a history of similar offenses, previously served 14 months for possessing ammunition as a felon in 2021 and 18 months for felonious assault in 2016.
He was released from parole in February.
