Prices have increased for Friday night’s WNBA game between the Chicago Sky (11-19) and the Indiana Fever (15-16).
Gametime, the leading app for last minute tickets, says the average ticket price for the game is $884. That’s more than 10 times the regular Sky home game of $87 per seat.
Top priced tickets are going for more than $2,000 per seat. The lowest priced seats are around $150.
The game features a matchup between the top two candidates for the league’s Rookie of the Year: Indiana’s Caitlin Clark and Chicago’s Angel Reese.
Clark and Reese also played each other in two marquee matchups at the college level. Clark’s Iowa Hawkeyes and Reese’s LSU Tigers met in the 2023 NCAA Women’s Finals with LSU walking away victorious. The following season, the Hawkeyes took down the Tigers in the Elite Eight.
The Fever have won two out of three meetings against the Sky this year. Both of those wins for them were in Indianapolis with the Sky’s lone victory coming in Chicago.
Clark has set WNBA rookie records for three-pointers and assists in a season. Reese started off her WNBA career by breaking the record for consecutive double-doubles.
