Pro athletes receiving fines is nothing new, and Indiana is home to one of the most fined teams in the major sports leagues.

The Indianapolis Colts are the 10th most fined team from the last four years. That’s according to analysis from High 5 Casino looking at the franchises in the NFL, NHL, NBA, and Major League Baseball.

The Colts — who are the fifth most-fined team in the NFL — paid out nearly $4.5 million dollars for 23 infractions, behind the Browns, Broncos, Saints and Cardinals.

The top two teams were in baseball, with the Dodgers coming in at just under $60 million in fines for just 2 infractions, having a wide lead over the Mets, who spent just over $25 million for 4 infractions.

Far too many “professional” are just organized thugs. Left on the street they would be quickly packed off to jail. Now they go to jail with large bank accounts. Otherwise most of them are worthless for a civilization. Bread and circuses
