An ordinance passed this spring is causing unexpected noise problems.
A Bristol resident is asking Elkhart County Commissioners to reconsider their rules on keeping roosters on residential properties.
The resident claims his neighbor’s roosters are crowing all day, leading to excessive noise.
Despite contacting the police over 50 times, he has been told there is nothing they can do.
According to The Goshen News, the Planning Director stated that code enforcement had checked the neighbor’s property and confirmed it was in compliance with the ordinance.
