One person shot on I-94 in Porter County

One person was shot on I-94 in Porter County. Police got a 911 call around 1:20 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 9, about the shooting at mile marker 28, located just west of the truck weigh station.

On scene, they found a Jeep Grand Cherokee parked on the shoulder with several bullet holds in the driver’s side.

The driver of the Jeep, was injured as a result of the shooting, was rendered first aid and then taken to the to hospital for treatment of a non-life-threatening gunshot wound to their lower extremity.

So far, there is no word about any suspects or arrests.
