Cooler temperatures, a lack of severe weather, and less heat and humidity are all things happening in Indiana in the coming days.

Sometimes Indiana has had remnants of hurricanes reach the state, but Aaron Updike with the National Weather Service says Indiana won’t see really anything from Hurricane Debby.

“What we should see is it stay pretty cool, especially this weekend. As we get into next week, there’s a little more uncertainty so we might push back into the mid-80s, but it should still be pleasant weather for mid August,” said Updike.

Updike believes temperatures across Indiana will be in the upper 70s and won’t reach the 80s very often for at least the next seven days.

“Friday and Saturday might be the best days to get outside this weekend. We’ve got a nice, quiet period for at least the next seven days or so,” said Updike.

Although a pop-up shower or thunderstorm could happen every now and then, Updike doesn’t believe there will be any severe weather for the foreseeable future.
