Southwest Michigan faces severe weather Tuesday morning

Southwest Michigan took one on the chin from Mother Nature on Tuesday morning, Aug. 6, with severe weather rolling through after the morning commute.
Two separate Tornado Warnings were declared by the National Weather Service in Van Buren, Cass, and St. Joseph Counties though no tornado has yet been confirmed in the area.
Heavy winds and rain from the storm brought damage to the north side of Three Rivers, including reports of barns being knocked down.
Uprooted trees and downed power lines were reported all over southwest Michigan, and as many as 2300 customers were left without power.
