Two people hurt during home invasion in Starke County

The Hamlet Police Department is investigating a home invasion that resulted in two people becoming injured.

The incident happened early Saturday, Aug. 3, in the 600 block of Starke Street.

The two residents were hurt were taken to the hospital. One was last listed in critical condition.

Anyone with information is urged to contact the Hamlet Police at 574-867-2623, Michiana Crime Stoppers at 800-342-STOP, or submit an anonymous tip to the Starke County Sheriff’s Department at 574-772-5958.

The Starke County Sheriff’s Department, Knox City Police Department, and Starke County EMS assisted at the scene.
