LaPorte man charged in connection to child pornography case

A LaPorte man has been charged with child exploitation after allegedly possessing and sharing images of child pornography.

Police received cybertips which led them to the suspect, John Carlisle, 51, who they say was using the social media platform “Kik” to obtain and share the images.

Indiana State Police detectives arrested Carlisle at his home on Tuesday, July 30, on preliminary charges of Child Exploitation- as Level 4 and Level 5 felonies.
