Indiana’s SAT scores have declined for the second straight year according to the Indiana Department of Education.
The Indiana Department of Education says that more than 80,000 high school students took the test in the 2023 – 2024 academic school year with on 24% getting “college-ready” scores in both reading and math. That is down 4.4% from the 2022-2023 school year.
The primary factor hurting most kids scores appears to be the math portion of the exam as 52% of students were considered college ready in the tests reading and writing categories.
This trend follows a national decline in SAT scores.
