Police: Speed a factor in crash that killed a 22-year-old man from Granger

A 22-year-old Granger man died after a motorcycle.

The collision happened around 3:30 p.m. on Saturday, July 20, near Dailey Road and Jefferson Center Street in Jefferson Township.

Cass County Sheriff’s deputies say the motorcyclist was traveling northbound when he lost control of his motorcycle, which caused him to hit several trees.

The motorcycle came to rest down an embankment after hitting the trees.

The driver of the motorcycle died at the scene. He was wearing his helmet.

Speed appears to be a factor in this crash.
