Latest Indiana Michigan Power electricity restoration times

Indiana Michigan Power crews, business partners and assistance crews have restored power to more than 85% of customers who lost power in the overnight storms. As of 9:00 p.m. on Tuesday, July 16, fewer than 3,000 customers remain out of service.

Most of the remaining outages are in the Elkhart area, where a confirmed EF1 tornado caused significant damage.

Assessors and crews have finished damage assessment. In total, the storm caused:

• 98 broken or damaged poles
• 327 downed wires
• 9 damaged transformers
Crews continue to restore power as quickly and safely as possible.

I&M still expects to have 90% or more of all affected customers restored by 6 p.m. on Wednesday,

Specific restoration times will continue to be updated as crews progress through repairs and
customers can get their latest estimates through the I&M app, text alerts or their online account.
