After several hours of public comment on both sides of the issue, the St. Joseph County Council voted against a moratorium that would halt all solar projects in the county for one year.
The vote, during their meeting on Tuesday, July 9, was a near party-line vote with all Republican members, except for Dan Schatzle, voting in favor of the moratorium.
Several amendments connected to development standards, public hearings, and a resolution adding more restrictions to such projects moved forward.

Does anyone realize how much fossil fuel is required to create solar panels? Think about the process of mining the minerals required, the copper required, the land required, and how to dispose of these elements when the panels wear out or are damaged by the weather?
How many acres of productive farm land do we need to sacrifice to the green weenie gods as they worship Gaia?
We are witnessing mass delusion of The People.
You are probably also witnessing mass corruption of local “officials”. No doubt there are payoffs going on.
