“Sick, selfish and shameful…” Words from the judge during sentencing for a southwestern Michigan attorney…
Buchanan attorney Lanny Fisher pleaded guilty to multiple counts of criminal sexual conduct and prostitution-engaging or offering to engage the services of another for prostitution.
Leader Publications reports Fisher will spend one year in jail and five more on probation. He must also register as a sex offender for the next 15 years and pay close to $15-hundred dollars in fines and costs.
It was during 2020, 2021 and 2022 prosecutors say Fisher racked up as many as seven victims.
One spoke at sentencing and said Fisher used his power as an attorney to abuse them. Another said his actions caused her to spiral downward into depression and anxiety.
