It’s four years in prison for a man who pleaded guilty to drug and gun possession.
27-year-old Tyler McPhail was arrested during a traffic stop after he reportedly started to pass through a crosswalk in front of an officer when he did not have the right of way.
The Goshen News says McPhail and the woman he was with continued to place their hands in their sweatshirt pockets after being instructed not to do so, so the officer conducted a pat down.
A gun was found in McPhail’s pants waistband, and he allegedly attempted to identify as someone else.
However, he ended up admitting his name and confirmed warrants in Niles, Michigan and St. Joseph County. Officers found a baggy of eight Adderall pills in McPhail’s backpack.
He was arrested on charges of Possession of a Controlled Substance, Unlawful Carrying of a Handgun by a Felon and Refusal to Identify.
