Local businesses and nonprofits may have the chance to get grant funds to help improve security measures.

The City of South Bend has improved and expanded on the 2023 Business Security Grant and is reopening as the Sync South Bend Security Grant.

It will sponsor new technology installations or upgrades for organizations across the city, with businesses and nonprofits being able to apply for up to $4,000 of funds toward eligible installations including cameras, security infrastructure or lighting.

Applications for the grant open on Saturday, but they’ll be hosting an open house at the Howard Park Event Center on June 17 for those interested in learning more.
