The trial for Terry Sands, who is accused of killing an Indiana State Trooper in 2023, has been postponed.
Police say Sands drove recklessly on Interstate 69 in March last year, hitting Master Trooper James Bailey, who was setting up stop sticks on the highway.
Initially scheduled for June this year, the trial has now been moved to February 2025.
Court documents reveal that Sands’ defense team intends to use an insanity defense.
