Michigan drops 8 candidates from primary ballot

(95.3 MNC)

Eight names have been removed from the Michigan primary ballot.

They were all candidates for seats in Congress, and they were dropped from consideration by the bipartisan Board of State Canvassers on Friday. Senate candidate Nasser Beydoun was dropped, along with State Board of Education member Nikki Snyder, who was running for Michigan’s 8th U.S. House seat.

Others were dropped for issues ranging from improper typefaces to evidence of signature fraud.

None of the names removed from the ballot were vying for seats in the nearby 4th or 5th Districts.

Michigan has to finalize the 2024 Primary Ballot by Friday.
