Alcohol is believed to be a factor in a crash that injured an Elkhart man.

The collision happened around 12:50 a.m. on Saturday, May 18, at County Road 5 and Treva Street in Elkhart when the driver of a GMC Sierra ran off the right side of the roadway, struck a utility pole and a tree. The vehicle landed on it’s tip.

The 33-year-old man was taken to Elkhart General Hospital with complaint of pain and due to the
severity of the crash.
