As many as 900 acres of farmland on Cleveland Road will switch from being used for agriculture to becoming industrial land.
This decision followed a lengthy County Council meeting where many people turned up to share their thoughts and see what the council would choose.
The council voted 6-3 in favor of the proposal, meaning the rezoning will go ahead, turning the agricultural land around St. Joe Farm into industrial space.

Because that’s what we need. What of your grandiose plans of ignition park that displaced families and is sitting dormant? South Bend, sucks!

How about instead of destroying more farmland they demolish and repurpose the blighted land in South Bend? There are huge tracts of houses that could use a good leveling, then their factory could be a walled compound to keep the looters out.

We’d get rid of problem neighborhoods, preserve the farmland, AND create the jobs! It’s a win all around!
