Former Goshen Mayor Allan Kauffman submitted his resignation as a member of the Goshen School Board.

He sent a letter stating health issues are preventing him from carrying out his work on the board.

Kauffman is also facing Level 6 felony counts for fraudulent campaign violations, but a stay was granted for the arrest warrant issued for him because of his health issues.

The school board must appoint a new member within 30 days.

Anybody interested in being considered for the position submit a resume to Goshen School Board President Roger Nafziger: roger.nafziger@goshenschools.org and Goshen Community Schools Superintendent Jim Dubois: jim.dubois@goshenschools.org.

Deadline to apply is March 15.
