The South Bend Fire Department responded to a call for a fire at a two-story home on Dunham St. early Tuesday morning.

When crews arrived, the family had safely evacuated and there were no visible signs of fire, however firefighters found smoke and hot embers on an exterior wall of the home.

The small fire was extinguished and fans were used to clear the smoke with no report of injuries.
