House panel advances bill criminalizing nonconsensual AI nudity

(95.3 MNC)
A state House committee has unanimously approved adding computer-generated nude pictures of real people to the state’s revenge pornography law.
The Indiana Public Defender Commission, however, warns the bill could violate the First Amendment as they say the language is too broad and needs to be changed to reflect the synthetic nudes need to actually resemble real people.
Sponsor Sharon Negele of Attica says she will keep working on the phrasing as the bill now goes before the full House.
