Two Buchanan recall petitions approved by Berrien County Election officials

(95.3 MNC)
Not one, but two recall petitions have been approved by Berrien County Election officials.
The recalls target Buchanan Mayor Sean Denison and City Commissioner Dan Vigansky. The petition against Denison is in response to him suspending then-City Manager Ben Eldridge, who then resigned.
The petition against Vigansky centers around racially insensitive comments he allegedly made to a citizen.
ABC 57 News reports both men have 10 days to file appeals, and then petitioners will have to collect at least 380 valid signatures for each recall.
Once that happens, recall elections could happen in May or November.
