Fake bomb threat in Michigan City Walmart

A bomb threat caused the Michigan City Walmart to be evacuated on Tuesday, December 19 at 10:50 a.m..

Officers from Uniform Patrol Shift 1, SWAT, and Investigative Division came to the store, as well as local medical services.

After a search of the store, no bomb was found and the call was determined to be a prank. The investigative team worked to find out who made the call about the bomb.

They say that the called was a 13-year-old boy from Sarasota, Florida. Law Enforcement in Sarasota was contacted and the investigation is going there.

They say that the 13-year-old has made similar false calls to other businesses.
