Cantaloupe recall now expanded to include Indiana

The cantaloupe recall, which initially impacted around 11 states, has now expanded to include Indiana.

On Nov. 9, the FDA warned about salmonella found in cantaloupe and cantaloupe products across at least ten states.

Recently, the agency included additional conditions to its recall list and released a list of products made from the recalled cantaloupe.

As of Nov. 28, the CDC reported 117 cases of illness in 34 states linked to the fruit.

The CDC stated that around half of those who reported being sick had to be hospitalized.

Since the beginning of its investigation on Nov. 17, the agency has reported two deaths.
