If you’re older than 55 in St. Joseph County and are looking into property tax relief, these sessions are for you.

It’s a three-year property tax relief program that was approved by the county council in November.

With the program, residents will not see more than a two percent increase on their home property tax for three years.

Dates for sessions include…

December 4 – 6 to 7:30 p.m.
Francis Branch Library (52655 N. Ironwood Road, South Bend)

December 8 – 2 to 3:30 p.m.
County-City Building (227 W. Jefferson Boulevard, 4th floor chambers)

December 13 – 6 to 7:30 p.m.
St. Joe County Main Library (304 S. Main St., South Bend, Classroom B)

In January, county officials will help residents sign up for the program during a session at the St. Joe County Main Library:

January 11 – 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
St. Joe County Main Library (304 S. Main St., South Bend, Classroom B)
