Man accused of addiction recovery center burglary appears in court

One of two men accused of burglary at an addiction recovery center appeared in court on Thursday.

The property manager of Indiana Teen Challenge reportedly contacted police in regards to a white SUV driving at a high speeds that had parked near the building’s loading dock.

68-year-old Joseph Orrick and 18-year-old Dakota Holt allegedly entered the building through a door propped open, and when the property manager was taking a photo of the vehicle to have it towed, he said he saw the two men putting a large fan into the back and trying to leave.

The Goshen News says Orrick said he and his nephew had come to get scrap to take in for money, but Holt told officials that he was unaware of what they were doing. Orrick is set for trial in July.
