The Niles Post of the Michigan State Police are planning a big toy collection drive for this holiday season.

“Stuff A Blue Goose” is a partnership between the troopers, Mosaic’s Wonderland Toy Store, Cass County Toys For Tots, Helping Hands of Cass County, Red Bud Area Ministries, Walmart, and Meijer.

The Blue Goose, a state patrol vehicle, will be parked at the Walmart on 11th Street in Niles and the Meijer on Red Arrow Highway in Stevensville on Friday, Nov. 17. Volunteers will be accepting toys, gift cards, toiletries, and food for the less fortunate.

They’ll also be accepting items at Walmart stores in Paw Paw, Plainwell and Hasting.

Troopers hope to collect as much as they can between 11 am and 6 pm on the 17th.
