The City of South Bend Department of Public Works announces the following traffic alerts beginning Monday, Nov. 6:

Ireland Road

Beginning Monday, November 6, the westbound lane of Ireland Road from Burnett Road to Keria Trail will be closed for water connection work. Westbound traffic will detour north on Main Street, west on Chippewa Avenue, then south on Linden Road before rejoining Ireland Road. Restrictions will be in place throughout the duration of the project, which has an estimated completion date of Saturday, November 11, weather permitting.

William Street

Also starting Monday, November 6, William Street between Navarre to Marion streets will be closed for water and sewer connection work. The detour route will be Wilber Street via Portage Avenue and Lincoln Way West. William Street is expected to reopen end of day Friday, November 10, weather permitting.
