Police: Goshen woman falls asleep at the wheel, flips caravan

A 70-year-old Goshen woman who police say fell asleep at the wheel was taken to the hospital after she crashed her vehicle.

The collision happened around 2:30 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 3 on State Road 4 west of County Road 33.

Elkhart County Sheriff’s deputies say the woman was traveling eastbound and went left of center, then went off the road. The caravan she was driving the flipped and landed on its roof.

The woman was taken to the hospital with a back injury.
