The Elkhart County Republican Party has unanimously nominated Benjamin Rogers as their candidate for Goshen Mayor.
A caucus, earlier this week, of around two dozen attendees resulted in Rogers nomination.
A Goshen native and Ivy Tech graduate, Rogers works as an independent media marketing manager. His parents hold positions in local government. His father is an Elkhart County Commissioner, and his mother serves on the Elkhart Township Board.
Rogers will compete against current Mayor Gina Leichty, who was picked to step in in for the Democrats after former Mayor Jeremy Stutsman resigned.
