Groundbreaking for the long-pursued inn at Potato Creek State Park may take place late this fall.

There has been talk about building an inn or lodge at Potato Creek for over 20 years, but funding has always seemed to fall through.

However, $100 million was approved for the project earlier this year.

According to the South Bend Tribune, the lodge is still in the design process, but plans call for up to 125 guest rooms, a full-service dining room, and an indoor aquatic center.

The Indiana DNR says they may have more to share in September.

The Inns at the IN state parks are great and I recommend them to all. We have stayed at almost all of them.

For $100M it better be…

The State would like to thank you for your involuntary donation of $14 from every person in your household. ($100M/7M people)
