South Bend Fire Dept. releases information on commercial structure fire

The South Bend Fire Department has released information about a fire at a commercial structure that happened early Sunday night, June 25, in the 1100 of Walnut Street in South Bend.
Crews arrived to find smoke showing from the roof and front door of the two-story structure. The blaze was quickly extinguished and a search of the structure found nobody inside.
There was no report of injuries to firefighters while battling the fire.
The origin and cause of the fire remain under investigation.
